Samuel joined ESSA from the Association of African Universities (AAU) where he provided research and project management assistance on the Demographics of African Faculty Pilot Project in Ghana. 

Prior to this, Samuel worked with Challenges Worldwide as a research associate. In a volunteering capacity, he supported growing business in Ghana under the UK International Citizen Service (ICS) programme through business intelligence research.

Samuel holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. During his studies, Samuel worked as a teaching and research assistant and also served on various university committees as a student leader.
